Ways to Keep Your Eyes Healthy

Go for better/best quality of contact lenses - safe contact lenses can reduce the risk of damaging your eyes than those low quality contact lenses. 

Eat what is good for your eyes and yourself - Vitamins C, A and E, folic acid, selenium and zinc are definitely beneficial for the health of your eyes. 

Read/Work on the computer need a correct lighting - poor light can cause eyestrain while bright light can damage your eyesight. You also can try to decrease the brightness of the computer monitor although the color is not so vivid but your eyes will feel much better.

Give your eyes have a health break - recently most of everyone are peering at a computer screen for a whole day. It cause almost everyone feels discomfort in their eyes because they less blink than usual and while working, it will cause them eye dryness. Let your eyes blink naturally. If you felt your eyes is tired, close your eyes and count to 5 before opening them. Add on, you can try to look away from the screen and focus some far away object to make your eyes feel better.

Please take proper care of your contact lenses if you wear it - Every time you take out your lenses, rinse them. You can try to fill your mouth with water and close your eyes as well. Sprinkle the water on them about 10-15 times. Do not use hot water to wash your eyes.  

When the body is sweating/after hard physical exercise or after being exposed to heat and sun, do not wash your eyes or face.

Do eye exercise regularly to maintain a perfect eyesight. Suggestion, move your eyeball, left and right; up and down and rotate it in clockwise and anti-clockwise directions. Another simple way to protecting your eyes is through 'palming'. Rub your palm of your hands about 30 seconds, close the eyes and gently place the warm palms on your eyes.
